Welcome to Scalp Micro 914. These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of our website, consultation process, appointment scheduling, payments, and scalp micropigmentation services.
By using our website, submitting a consultation request, scheduling an appointment, or receiving services from Scalp Micro 914, you acknowledge and agree to the applicable terms below.
Scalp Micropigmentation Services
Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a cosmetic tattooing procedure in which pigment is deposited into the scalp to create the appearance of hair follicles, reduce visible contrast between the scalp and existing hair, create the appearance of greater density, or camouflage certain scars.
Scalp micropigmentation does not grow hair, prevent future hair loss, or treat any underlying medical condition.
Results vary from person to person. Skin type, scalp condition, existing hair, hair-loss pattern, scar tissue, pigment retention, healing, lifestyle, sun exposure, aftercare, and other individual factors may affect the final result.
No specific cosmetic result or length of pigment retention can be guaranteed.
Age Requirement
Scalp Micro 914 does not perform scalp micropigmentation on anyone under the age of 18.
Under New York State law, tattooing a person under 18 is prohibited regardless of parental or guardian consent.
Valid government-issued identification may be required before treatment.
Appointment-Only Studio and Virtual Consultations
Scalp Micro 914 operates by appointment only.
We do not accept walk-ins and do not offer in-person consultations.
Consultations, appointment inquiries, and scheduling communications are handled virtually through methods such as text message, phone, email, website communication, or other approved online communication methods.
Prospective clients may be required to submit clear, current photographs of the treatment area before receiving a treatment recommendation or price quote.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and current information during the consultation process.
Additional photographs or information may be requested when necessary to evaluate the treatment area, determine candidacy, estimate the number of sessions, or provide pricing.
A virtual consultation is preliminary. The final treatment plan may be adjusted after the scalp and treatment area are evaluated in person on the day of the appointment.
Submitting photographs or completing a virtual consultation does not guarantee acceptance as a candidate for scalp micropigmentation.
Scalp Micro 914 reserves the right to modify, postpone, or decline a procedure when treatment is determined to be inappropriate or when additional evaluation is necessary.
Booking Deposits
A $150 booking deposit is required for each scheduled treatment session, unless otherwise agreed upon by Scalp Micro 914.
A secure payment link will be sent to collect the booking deposit. An appointment is not considered confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
Each treatment session requires its own $150 booking deposit to reserve that specific appointment date and time.
When the client arrives for the scheduled appointment, the $150 booking deposit is applied toward the total price of that treatment session. It is not an additional charge on top of the session price.
For example, if a treatment session costs $500 and a $150 booking deposit has already been paid, the remaining balance for that session would be $350.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Clients who need to cancel or reschedule an appointment must provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Appointments canceled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time will result in forfeiture of the $150 booking deposit.
A new booking deposit will be required before another appointment can be reserved.
Failure to appear for a scheduled appointment without proper notice will also result in forfeiture of the booking deposit.
Late Arrivals
Clients are expected to arrive on time for all scheduled appointments.
Clients arriving more than 35 minutes late will be required to reschedule, unless Scalp Micro 914 expressly agrees to proceed based on the circumstances and available appointment time.
Late arrivals may reduce the amount of treatment time available.
Scalp Micro 914 will not rush or compromise the safety or quality of a scalp micropigmentation procedure in order to accommodate a late arrival.
If an appointment cannot be performed because of a client’s late arrival, applicable cancellation and booking-deposit policies may apply.
Treatment Sessions
Scalp micropigmentation commonly requires multiple sessions in order to gradually build density, coverage, color, and the desired cosmetic effect.
The number of sessions required varies depending on the treatment area, existing hair, skin characteristics, scar tissue, previous SMP, pigment retention, and desired result.
An estimated number of sessions does not guarantee that additional sessions or future touch-ups will never be necessary.
Pricing
Pricing may vary depending on the size of the treatment area, amount of coverage required, complexity of the procedure, existing pigmentation, scar tissue, and other individual factors.
Any price quote provided through photographs or a virtual consultation is based on the information available at that time.
If the treatment area or requested service is materially different when evaluated in person, Scalp Micro 914 may adjust the treatment recommendation or pricing before proceeding.
Payment
Unless otherwise agreed upon, the remaining balance for each treatment session is due according to the payment terms provided by Scalp Micro 914.
Financing or third-party payment options may be available but are subject to the terms, eligibility requirements, and approval process of the applicable provider.
Client Health and Eligibility
Clients are responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding medical conditions, medications, allergies, skin or scalp conditions, previous procedures, previous cosmetic tattooing, and any other information that may reasonably affect treatment or healing.
Scalp Micro 914 may postpone or decline treatment when there is a concern regarding the condition of the scalp, skin integrity, healing, treatment suitability, client safety, or the expected cosmetic result.
Clients may be advised to seek guidance or clearance from an appropriate licensed healthcare professional when necessary.
Scalp Micro 914 does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
Pre-Care Requirements
Clients are responsible for following all pre-care instructions provided by Scalp Micro 914 before each treatment session.
Pre-care instructions may include recommendations relating to caffeine, alcohol, certain non-prescription medications or products, scalp care, sun exposure, exercise, and other factors that may affect the treatment area or procedure.
Clients should not stop or alter any prescription medication unless instructed to do so by their licensed healthcare provider.
Failure to follow pre-care instructions may interfere with the ability to safely or effectively perform the procedure.
Bleeding and Treatment Conditions
Certain factors may increase bleeding or otherwise interfere with scalp micropigmentation treatment and pigment retention.
If excessive bleeding occurs during treatment, or if another condition develops that may interfere with the safety, quality, healing, or pigment retention of the procedure, Scalp Micro 914 reserves the right to pause or discontinue the session.
Treatment may need to be rescheduled or continued at a later appointment.
Right to Postpone, Discontinue, or Decline Treatment
Scalp Micro 914 reserves the right to postpone, discontinue, or decline treatment when proceeding is not considered appropriate.
This may include, but is not limited to:

Excessive bleeding

Active infection or illness

Open wounds, cuts, sores, or significant irritation

Severe inflammation

Sunburn or compromised skin

Unexpected scalp or skin conditions

Failure to follow required pre-care instructions

Suspected intoxication or impairment

Undisclosed medications or relevant health information

Conditions that may interfere with healing or pigment retention

A treatment request that is not appropriate for the client’s hair-loss pattern or scalp condition

Any circumstance in which proceeding could compromise treatment quality or safety
Scalp Micro 914 may use professional judgment when determining whether it is appropriate to begin, continue, or complete a procedure.
Alcohol, Drugs, and Impairment
Scalp Micro 914 will not knowingly perform scalp micropigmentation on a client who appears to be under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs, or another substance that may impair the client’s ability to provide informed consent or safely undergo the procedure.
The appointment may be canceled or rescheduled at the discretion of Scalp Micro 914.
Treatment Area Condition
The scalp and treatment area must be in suitable condition for treatment.
Treatment may be postponed when the area shows signs of infection, open wounds, significant inflammation, severe irritation, sunburn, or another condition that may interfere with treatment or healing.
Aftercare
Clients are responsible for following all aftercare instructions provided following treatment.
Proper aftercare is an important part of healing, pigment retention, and the final cosmetic result.
Failure to follow aftercare instructions may negatively affect healing or pigment retention and may result in the need for additional treatment.
Results and Pigment Retention
Scalp micropigmentation is intended to provide a long-lasting cosmetic result; however, pigment naturally changes and fades over time.
The rate of fading varies between individuals and may be affected by skin type, immune response, sun exposure, lifestyle, skincare products, scalp treatments, healing, and other environmental or biological factors.
Future maintenance or touch-up treatments may be recommended and are not automatically included unless specifically stated as part of a treatment package.
Before-and-after photographs or examples of previous clients represent individual results and are not a guarantee that another client will achieve identical results.
Future Hair Loss
Scalp micropigmentation does not stop or prevent future hair loss.
Clients receiving density treatments in areas containing existing hair should understand that their natural hair may continue to thin or recede after treatment.
Changes in hair density, hairstyle, hair color, or hair-loss pattern may affect the appearance of existing scalp micropigmentation and may require additional treatment or adjustment.
Existing Scalp Micropigmentation or Cosmetic Tattooing
Clients who have previously received scalp micropigmentation or another cosmetic tattooing procedure in the treatment area must disclose this information during the consultation process.
Existing pigment may affect treatment options, pigment selection, coverage, correction possibilities, number of sessions, and the final result.
Scalp Micro 914 reserves the right to decline correction or additional treatment when existing pigmentation cannot reasonably be incorporated into the desired result.
Photographs and Marketing Consent
Photographs may be requested or taken for consultation, treatment planning, documentation, and progress tracking.
Photographs submitted for consultation or taken as part of treatment documentation are not automatically authorized for public advertising, website galleries, social media, educational content, or other promotional use.
When photographs, videos, testimonials, or other client content are intended for marketing or promotional purposes, clients may be asked to sign a separate authorization or consent form.
Treatment Consent and Client Forms
Before treatment begins, clients may be required to review and sign separate consent and acknowledgment forms.
These documents may include treatment consent, health-history information, medication disclosures, pre-care and aftercare acknowledgments, treatment risks and limitations, photography or marketing authorization, and other treatment or legal documentation.
These Terms & Conditions do not replace any separate consent, disclosure, or acknowledgment form required before treatment.
New York State Tattoo Safety Requirements
Scalp micropigmentation is performed in accordance with applicable New York State tattooing requirements.
Before treatment, the client and practitioner are required to sign a confirmation stating that the sterile, sealed single-use needle or needles to be used for the procedure were presented to the client and opened in the client’s presence, and that approved ink-handling procedures will be followed.
A copy of this confirmation is provided to the client, and Scalp Micro 914 retains the required documentation in accordance with applicable New York State record-retention requirements.
Infection Control and Safety
Scalp Micro 914 follows applicable sanitation, infection-control, and tattoo-safety requirements.
Single-use sterile needles and appropriate pigment-handling procedures are used in accordance with applicable requirements.
Clients are also responsible for following aftercare instructions intended to support proper healing and reduce the risk of complications.
Right to Refuse Service
Scalp Micro 914 reserves the right to refuse, postpone, discontinue, or modify services when reasonably necessary for safety, suitability, professional judgment, treatment quality, or compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
This may include situations in which a requested procedure falls outside the services offered by Scalp Micro 914 or when the expected cosmetic result would not be appropriate based on the client’s scalp condition, existing hair, hair-loss pattern, or treatment goals.
No Medical Advice
Information provided through our website, consultations, social media, or other communications is intended for general informational and cosmetic-service purposes.
It should not be interpreted as medical diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.
Clients with questions or concerns about hair loss, scalp conditions, medications, healing, or medical conditions should consult an appropriately licensed healthcare professional.
